The Christian's Outlook/Success

The Bible clearly tells us that the Christian's outlook is "if it is God's will, we will live tomorrow to do this or that." A Christian surrenders any personal objective or ambition, for he has faith in the blueprint God foretold throughout the pages of scripture. His aim is to be a useful instrument in God's hand during the unfolding of that prophecy. There is no higher goal ~ to choose anything lower is to suffer loss.

God's plan is the desire of the Christian heart, whose sole management responsibility is of those desires. If we can't manage a small trust today, God may not elevate that trust tomorrow! Our efforts are to manage by following God's Word, and by being good stewards of all God has given us -- TODAY! Then, when tomorrow arrives ... we hope to do the same. In every day of Christian life, our hope is to be useful vessels to God.

Is time important? Yes, I think it is because it is a gift God has given to each one of us. In it, we find ourselves constantly making decisions ~ each decision influencing and/or altering the path of our lives. I believe that to squander this priceless endowment of time is to misuse and degrade its divine importance.

We, as Christians, have learned that a successful life is never measured by academic achievements, social status or financial prosperity; quite the contrary, we know that we are successful only when saturated with "holy integrity," which is given to us by Christ, through the Holy Spirit of God.

One day, my friend, through the divine power of Christ, His mercy and grace, the success of our lives will be clearly unmistakable when we hear Him say ... Well done, my good and faithful servant."

My Heart Cries

My heart cries for its many shortcomings

It cries for the weaknesses therein

It cries with groanings unfettered

And the deeds that once have been.

My heart cries with eyes of sadness

It cries with unquestionable pain

It cries with great sensitivity

And will never again be the same ...

Because the Lord Jesus Christ changed it.
